We all know that we should have our bras fitted professionally, but somehow just never get round to it. In fact, according to recent research by Sports Medicine Australia and the Breast Research Australia team at the University of Wollongong's Biomechanics Research Laboratory, 75% of young women and 67% of older women have not used a bra fitting service.
There are health associated problems with wearing the wrong size bra. According to The British Chiropractor Association, these can include: back pain, restricted breathing, abrasions, breast pain and poor posture.
Now, we don't like the sound of that list of possible repercussions for not getting ourselves properly fitted. So, in order to help women students at the University of Newcastle, we thought we'd give your breasts a bit of support by arranging a professional bra-fitting session.
We are holding this on Tuesday 16th October, NUSA, 2pm. It will be a female only environment and we will probably provide some snacks. This is also an opportunity for women students to chat and relax over a cuppa.
Many thanks to NUSA’s wonderful vice-president, Hayley Howorth, for organising this.
