*Same but Different is equal - Right?*
To launch UNLSA's inaugural SCOPE Speaker Series hear a panel of experts discuss one of the most debated social policy change areas. The rights of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex community are increasingly at the forefront of political and social debate. The SCOPE of this issue is broad and our panel will discuss a range of areas led by audience interaction.
The panel consists of;
+ Sharon Grierson MP, Federal Member for Newcastle
+ Senthorun Raj, Senior Policy Analyst, NSW Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby, Vice President NSW Amnesty International
+ Dr. Alan Berman Senior Lecturer Newcastle Law School, Adjunct Research Fellow, Socio-Legal Research Centre Griffith Law School
+ Bruce Robinson, Senior Minister Globe Church
+ John Hollier former solicitor at Peter Evans & Associates
+ Greg Lee senior pastor of Hunter Bible Church
+ Moderator Max Allan, Newcastle Law Honours Student.
Watch this space as we confirm more exciting speakers. The forum will run like Q&A so get in early and submit your question here http://unlsa.com/events/scope/
*When - Thursday 27 October (Week 12)*
*Where - Life Sciences Theatre (LSTH)*
*Time - 5pm for a 5.30 start*
