The weekend and off-campus online survey has received 54 complete responses to date. The overwhelming response at the moment is that Saturday examinations are inconvenient for students (78%).

The major reasons cited for Saturday examinations being inconvenient are: work commitments (56%), transport (37%), other (28%) and religion (4%). For the students that responded with other, just under half indicated that Saturday examinations are inconvenient because of sporting or club commitments. These responses are shown in the figures below.

We also asked students if they had taken a weekend exam in semester one. Of the ten students who had, eight (80%) indicated that Saturday examinations are inconvenient for them. The major reason for these students is transport (50%), with work commitments being cited as the second most pressing matter (25%).
