Directions to Newcastle District Jockey Club
Directions to the Newcastle Jockey Club
The Newcastle jockey club is serviced by the 226, the 230 and the 231 along tudor st, and the 225 along glebe road. The tudor st and glebe road bus stops are quite close (from what i can tell) in terms of walking distance, but the tudor st one is probably a bit closer. Only the 226 and 225 stop at the university of newcastle as well as the jockey club. There is quite a walk no matter which one you take to get to the jockey club, i would say at least 20 minutes if you know where you are going, so allow more time than this if you have never been before.
If you are taking the 226, 230, or 231 and want to get of on tudor st, the bus stop just across the road from "nineways auto traders" is the best one.
Google maps and streetview location
If you are taking the 225 and want to get of on glebe road, this is your best stop:
Google map and street view of the jockey club itself:
A few other helpful things you might want to note on the website that we were talking about
-Bus timetables can be found at http://www.newcastlebuses.info/
- The jockey club itself is cold and drafty, make sure you bring plenty of warm clothes, remember its easy to strip off a layer but its hard to get warm if youre not wearing enough!
- It takes approximatley 45 minutes to get from the uni to the jockey club, make sure you budget enough time to get there beforehand
- There is a 20 minute walk from the bus stop to the jockey club itself once you arrive, take this into account if you are not coming from the uni
- If you are physically unable to make it to an exam because of the travel time associated with getting to the jockey club, make a complaint!
