The NUSA Fruit and Vege Boxes is a very popular service.
Every week during semester, volunteers go to the fruit and vegetable markets in Sandgate to purchase the produce for the boxes. They get to the markets by 6am, purchase the goods and then to NUSA to sort it into boxes. From 11 o'clock on Thursdays, students, and staff, can pick up their boxes from the NUSA building.
Typically, a box contains enough produce for a sharehouse of four people to share for a week.
This is a non-profit service.
If you would like to assist with the fruit and vege box service, please send an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
