The Bar on the Hill, who previously hosted the very successful Pride Party in September, will be providing students $5 house drinks and there will be drag performers and prizes for best dressed all night. Everyone is welcome!

Having this qualification can also make a student's job application more competitive in hospitality environments. October is Mental Health month in NSW. The aim of the campaign is to promote the importance of early intervention practices for positive mental health and well-being and reduce the stigma associated with mental health.

In conjunction with the lunchtime BBQ on Tuesday, the Park on the Hill will be adorned with NUSA activities, stalls and music!

Join us to celebrating the lived experiences and culture of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) people at the University of Newcastle. Among other things, the week will feature:

  • A flag raising ceremony as well as speeches from representatives from the LGBTIQ+ community.
  • A carnival at the Park on the Hill on Tuesday with food, festivities, amusements rides and puppies to cuddle.
  • Wear it purple Day on Friday, before closing the festivities with a Pride Party at the Bar on the Hill on Friday night.

RSPCA Cupcake day offers you the opportunity to help raise money for the many animals in need that RSPCA helps. You too can help the cause against animal cruelty by having your friends, family, peers and colleagues bake treats and collect donations to give to RSPCA. Cupcake day isn't just limited to cupcakes either, get creative and put your baking skills to the test!

NUSA encourages attendees to bring your pets to the event at New Space!
But please ensure your doggos, puppers, and cattos are vaccinated and on a leash for everyone's safety.

It’s Festival of Autonomy time! Join us for a week of activities to celebrate 52 years since UON was declared autonomous from the University of New South Wales. On Friday the week will culminate in a celebration at the Bar on the Hill and NUSA will be there - serving a pancake breakfast and handing out goodies. Look out for the Green Fairies!
